so far ligotti makes way too many charged assertions without extrapolating on the crucial ones (namely thinking abt his takes on non-human consciousness). but his cheeky neurotic professor language is fun (even if it can sometimes obstruct his arguments) and the book is a great primer to learn more abt the history of philosophical pessimism.
