Enjoying this retelling of Peter Pan!

Eeek! Anxiety, sadness, and fear. It’s hard for me to take, but I have a feeling that Abatha and Sampson will somehow get the ending they deserve.

Feminist retelling, accurate historical fiction, Christian theology, witchcraft, fairy folk, and pagan deities from both European and Native American cultures? For all of that I can ignore the gore.

I loved the audio book so much! I couldn’t rush through it. I paced myself and savored every word.

I liked the action of the first book, but too much of this book is just exposition through tedious conversations between characters. Speaking of characters, there are too many for a first person narrative. I’m exhausted by the protagonist’s slow and predictable psychological growth.
