An interesting book which I’m reading for my short story group. It’s eight short stories, each written by two authors. The appendix includes notes about their process for writing the stories.

Am enjoying these slightly old-fashioned stories with a faint nostalgia for days gone by!

Strangely fascinating! Am heartened to read that several of the OED contributors came from the Dorking /Reigate area.

An unexpected non-fiction choice for my book group which has turned out to be charming and intriguing so far!

Listening to the audiobook of this narrated by Jessie Buckley - highly recommended!

If you are an aspiring short story writer, or just love reading a variety of short stories then this is the book for you! It's a set text for a creative writing course I'm doing, but it's very readable in its own right.
