I just finished Small Great Things: A Novel and gave it 5 stars. It was a tough subject matter, which made it an intriguing read. Picoult's research into the black community, white supremacists, & racism was obvious. I think she hit the nail on the head as far as white women (me being one) are concerned. Picoult brought importance to the fact that we have not progressed as far as we think we have.
