Started this one as an ebook and honestly wasn't getting into it. Decided to give the audiobook a try instead and WOW. What a difference! I'm completely hooked now. Funny how changing the format can completely change your experience of a book.

This book needs to come with a disclaimer; my poor, innocent eyes (and ears) were not ready 😮‍💨

Struggling through this one. It reads like AI wrote it and nobody edited the output. "The kind of quiet", "in the way that", the same phrases keep resurfacing like a tic. Nothing against AI-assisted writing, but it needs a firmer editing pass so it doesn't lean on the same crutches over and over.

Listened to this one. Coming back to it in print for a different perspective 😌

This book is putting me in a reading slump. Usually, I'd have moved on by now, but this one just refuses to pick up the pace.

What exactly have I been doing with my life?

I've been avoiding Stephen King my entire reading life because I assumed he was horror. He's not. I mean, there are dark things happening, but this isn't horror. It's a thriller. It's a character study. It's genuinely, annoyingly hard to put down.

I have thoughts. More to come.

43 hours down, 5 hours to go, and I'm loving every minute of it.

I quite like this series.

Rereading via audiobook this time. 10% in and it's already delivering. Heavy on the science, but the suspense and the jaw-drop moments make it impossible to put down. Or stop listening to, I suppose.
