Funny in that really painful, awkward "I'm going to hide under a blanket now" sort of way

Really enjoying it even though it is slow going

I just started it, and it's already making me so so hungry.

I love every word of it. Yet despite how much I love it, it is still slow going.

This book is so fucking boring. I've heard from so many people that it's so good. When does it get interesting?

This makes me want General Chicken so bad, even though I know it's not Chinese at all. I know, but I want a huge order with broccoli, a side order of hot and sour soup, and some egg rolls. Damn I'm hungry now

I am loving Harbach's style. I can see why he was on the short list for the Pulitzer. So far, a great first novel

This book makes me want to watch Say Anything and the Breakfast Club while listening to some Oingo Boingo and playing Mrs Pacman. It's pretty damn good

Can't stop reading series. It's 2am and I'm waiting to be able to put a loaf of bread in the oven. I'd call that time well spent

Very quick read

I'm a little late jumping on the bandwagon, but since watching the show a month ago, i knew i had to read it.

Saw a preview for this movie on TV the other day and decided to reread the book. I remember liking the book when a first read it a couple years ago. The movie has Tom Hanks. I hope it will be good even though it is a January release and is probably doomed.

Amazing what a few hours on a plane will get you. Started it this morning. Good so far

"Only the bankrupt 'Freedom' Tower, empty and stern in profile, like an angry man risen and ready to punch, celebrated itself throughout the night." Favorite line from a book about an absurdist future of America where Staten Island is the place to be and Manhattan is its desolate suburb (unlikely), and the yuan is the universal currency that matters (very likely). So far, awesome.

As far as I can tell, it's about math and Nazis. Not that that's a bad thing, but it is a little slow going

Bought a new copy of this book after losing the old one. So far I've learned that Spanish men can make love for 6 hours, come two or three times, and collapse half dead. I'm not sure whether or not that sounds appealing...

So soon into the book and I can already tell this may be one of the most beautiful, important, spectacular things I've read in my entire life.

Was not expecting a book that mostly talks about why San Francisco, Seattle, open source software and the no-collar workplace are awesome, but whatever.

Trying to finish this by August 9 even though I'm not too terribly interested in the book. Can I do it?

Not too different from the Jodie Foster movie. And who doesn't love Carl Sagan?

I never thought I liked Orwell's prose style, but after reading this I learned that he has a very versatile style, and the stark contrast of 1984 and Animal Farm fit those books perfectly compared to the beautiful way he writes in Catalonia. Fabulous so far.
