It's difficult to keep going when I really don't like the main character

I guess I'm a sucker for emotional damage

I often read a blurb, add to TBR, then read the book way later with no idea what I'm getting into. That being said - this is already a unique concept.

Made it to page 234 & library took it back. Which is fine. Nothing is really going on and I couldn't consistently read this right now.

Powering through, but not really feeling it

Immediately started sobbing
Had to take a break

Remember that Friends episode where they don't knew we know they know we know? That's the vibe I'm getting from this book right now in the best way.

I really really really don't like the main character, but I'm gonna stick this out because I'm sure it will get better

Been in a little reading slump and about to DNF this one bc I really don't care about any of the characters. I'm the problem. I need a really good book to turn this all around.

So far it's just okay. Hard for me to believe anyone could know so little about everything, but she's been under her mom's thumb/control her whole life. I have to remember that. Surely something will happen soon.

I just finished a book with a character named Gen & I did a double take when this one almost immediately introduced a Gen as well

The main character is completely unhinged. I haven't liked her or rooted for her at all. I hope that was the intention of the author. Debated DNFing but curious enough to see where this winds up.

I have a tendency to read a blurb, add to my TBR, then choose to read books at random from said TBR without rereading the blurb. Needless to say I WAS NOT READY for how heavy this is. My gosh. But good so far!

I hate to admit I am struggling to keep going. It has it's moments but I don't think my mindset was right for this right now.

Jumping into literally anything to redirect and recover from Manacled 🫠 I can't do more Dramione just yet, but I will...

I keep waiting for there to be an actual plot. Is anything going to happen? Do I DNF this?

This book is holding me captive!

I made it about 1/3 of the way through and realized I'm not in the right mood for this one. I usually love MZ's writing but this ain't it for me currently.

Set this down to go on vacation. It was slow getting back into it but after around page 200 it got much better.

This started with promise but it's getting annoying... it's gone from will they/won't they to overdone and almost immature feeling.

So far I am breezing through this in the best way.

I'm getting a sick feeling in my stomach about whatever is going on with Marjorie...

I'm just not into it, sadly. I think trying the audiobook did me in.

I love who this man is as a human, so I must support his new book. I also have eightyleven fiction books on hold at the library.
