A pleasant surprise. Maybe a bit didactic, but still very effective.

Disturbing, with only appalling characters. I love this book.

This is a looooooong book. And quite melodramatic.

Somehow everybody in this book is too nice. I need to find myself something darker next time, all this love and beauty is close to unbearable.

I cannot believe this book won the booker prize of 2023. Its charactes are so naive and daft from the start - how can they have lived without noticing the turn toward authoritarianism all over the world? A trade unionist and his wife?? And only her father is alert of what is happening around them? Give me a break. This book is not up to the mark.

I just can‘t seem to care. I don‘t get into the story nor the characters. I need to let this book be.

It's impossible for me to finish this book. It's well written and all, but I just can't seem to care. It's depressing me to bits.

I have finally become immersed in the book, I‘m glad I didn‘t give up.

For the umpteenth time, I am having trouble to get into this book, it just doesn’t grip me.

This book is absolutely stunning. I‘m listening to it breathlessly delighted.
