Bought this from the Courtauld Gallery gift shop after seeing their amazing Van Gogh Self Portraits exhibition. Looking forward to reading it and hanging out with him again.

I'll stick with it a little longer, but I'm close to dismissing this as JG Ballard For Beginners.

An old friend, this book. Great to have it on my kindle finally.

A funny little book, with lots of musical things and situations I recognise, being in a very musical family but without any talent of my own. A musical Meaning Of Liff, but without the Wetwang, thankfully!

Weird to think that I was a kid when I first read this (about thirty years ago?), close to the age of the kids in the story, and now re-reading it for the first time as an adult, close to the age of those kids-as-adults, with kids of my own, about the age of those kids in the story...

A great book about a simple idea with far reaching implications.

Just the book I was looking for, I think. Very timely.
