This book is beyond devastating. In the beginning, I could only read it 20 pages at a time. Over the past few days, I've been powering through it even as the things I am learning about the main character, the things he is enduring and has endured and the things I imagine are coming and he will be forced to endure become increasingly horrific. I don't want to put the book down and leave the main character alone...
