There is something I really like about the author’s writing style.

A world that shrugs at one kind of slaughter has developed a terrible immunity. No atrocity is too great to shrug away now, the muscles of indifference having been sufficiently conditioned.

Fear functions this way, too, causes the whole of the world to flower in limitless, terrible possibility.

Fear obscures the necessity of its causing. No one has ever been unjustifiably afraid, not in their own mind.

The Fifth Step 4⭐️ the way my mouth dropped. Had to reread the line a few times fr it to click what happened. Short story, but now we’re getting darker and I’m not mad

Two Talented Bastids: 2 ⭐️. I’m not an alien story person and this was too “blue book” for me.
