Surprisingly funny so far. The author has a good sense of humor.

James Hollis explores the Jungian concept of shadow and its impact on the individual and the larger society. This is not the kind of book you breeze though during your commute on the bus or train, and it’s not the kind of book that you want sitting on the nightstand next to your bed. If you're going to read this you need to be committed to it, because it's not a fun trip.

Lemed it. The book just didn't click for me.

I really don't like books that are a collection of columns from another source, news paper in this case. This book is a great example of why.

A very nice overview of plants used in liquor, and a fun read.

Lemed it. 1/3 of the way in, no likable characters or events. I may pick it up again later, if someone has something good to say about it.

It took a while to grow on me but in the end I did enjoy it. One criticism though, the resolutions are way too quick. In the second story there is pretty much 20 seconds from the start of the finale to the resolution.

This was not grabbing my attention, then it was. All I can say is that it's say when you have to get halfway though a book before yous start to want to know how it ends.

This book is really starting to lose me. I think her view of the future is too techno focused. This is like a Cory Doctorow book, and that's not really a complement.

I'm finding the book kind of jumps around a bit much. I'm also finding that the prose will turn unexpectedly poetic. I'm enjoying it, but I have no idea what's actually going on.

I would not have thought I'd find this so interesting. It was recommended to me by a young lady I met in a Starbucks. We were talking about ebooks and our Kindles. She told me that she'd started reading some books her father liked and had been surprised that she'd enjoyed them. I bought the first one.

I don't like the "current" first person style, but the writing is good.

I wondered off. The subject is interesting, but not interesting enough, at least not to me.
