the lack of real tension between these two is peeving me off bad. like it’s coming across as poor writing and almost queerbait bc why has sam blushed over two men she’s known for mere hours but not even blinked at a sexy woman strapping a revolver to her garter ? like hello ?

no but actually this book is going to destroy me as a girl who grew up queer in a religious family and felt like a late bloomer because of it ugh

i know everything escalating is necessary to the plot but it’s still pissing me offff
