Jump scares scare me, but the first story of Ligotti's works makes me...it makes me sad. But sad isn't the word. It's worried? Not worried.
Reading his first story, it makes me unsettled and non-human.

I couldn't finish. It is a well-written book, but doesn't cover much more than what is available in other books I've read this year. The people it covers are obviously powerful and therefore important to read about, so I would suggest to read this book. But honestly, just reading about all these sci-fi ideas again was boring, annoying, frustrating, and I couldn't power through.

This book isn't bad, it's just late, so a lot of other books have already said what it's had to say.

Loved learning about Erica's induction to the Order of St. George. Wonderful world building.

Nothing new or groundbreaking if you have listened to researchers like QAA, but still interesting and approachable narrative of the start of the conspiracy theory nonsense.
