So much of our dissatisfaction and (non-clinical) depression in life comes from focusing on what we DON'T have, what we DIDN'T do, what we SHOULD have done, and pining for a life where those were all different. Where we have the thing we think we're missing, or we did the thing we regret not doing. But who says even THAT life would be as we hoped?? What if disappointment followed us there too?

No no no, who is this narrator? His voices are nasal and annoying, seeming more like caricatures of New Yorkers than actual people. I don't like it and I miss Scott Brick.

Why did I start this book? Because I was hungry for another thrilling Preston&Child adventure? Or because it's narrated by Scott Brick and listening to him narrate these books feels like someone is petting my brain?
Both. Definitely both.

I'm just going to apologize for my previous (and much too generous) book rating system instead of going back and adjusting them to something more appropriate.
