I’m on page 1 of the acknowledgments and it is just WILD to me that the author states “Among the victims hardest hit are Chris’s family…” Like what? They lost their granddaughters but their son is still ALIVE. BFFR, sir.

It’s a little in poor taste to use a disabled woman’s tragic death as a humor device…I was enjoying the he’ll out of the book until now.

Sydney, I’ve been asking myself the same question…because I’m still reading this stupid book.

I hate the MC.

I am the type of person who looks for their phone while holding it. I theorized the ending and made my husband Google it. I was right. 😑

First scrunchies and now an insult about Jersey girls? I pretty much hate this book now.

Ugh, Sydney is a pick me girl…plus the author could use some work on the “show don’t tell” part of writing.

“You’ll both want to keep an eye out for any telltale signs that Maddy’s mood is shifting. Signs of ramping up into mania might be needing less sleep, talking really fast—what we call ‘pressured speech’—spending too much money, talking about comedy or Taylor Swift.”

Don’t tell my husband that talking about Taylor Swift is a sign of mania please. 😑

Am I really supposed to believe that a fictional high school student who is familiar with The Simpsons and South Park would utter the phrase “Life’s a gas”? It would have been more impactful if they had an actual excerpt from a teenager diagnosed with ADD/ADHD.

Lazy writing. 😒 Could you have found another way of character development that doesn’t use shaming diabetics? For example: Wow, that person does not take care of themselves. Muscle damage, but does that stop them from not properly warming up before a run?

The thing that’s driving me crazy is when they use expletives it’s either “trees” since their adoration is for nature vs. Christianity. So why is someone called a “Godamn prick” when God isn’t necessarily what they believe in.
