It is here that my patience with DeLillo ends, as does my interest in finding out what happens next.

I was wondering when the prince part of the love-triangle would appeal. Was actually getting worried there for a second that, heaven's forbid, this book would stray away from that typical YA trope. But apparently not.

That last chapter made me cry

This book and I are having a real love-hate relationship

What the heck am I reading? This is a complete soap opera

It's so hard to put down. From the characters to the wonderful pace of the book to the quirky, delightful moments sprinkled here and there, this book has won my attention completely

"It wasn't that I did not believe in ghosts; it was that I believed in them in the same noncommittal way that I believed in giant squids or lucky coins or Belgium." - I love the balance of description, action, and quirky dialogue/thoughts of this book. It's a breath of fresh air in the world of books being published at-the-moment

"His eyes looked like they could be a hundred lifetimes old" - although I just started this description already already triggered a pleasant feeling within

This is confusing and all over the place, there's a handful of details which haven't really been cleared up and the plot feels thrown together. It's a bit disappointing

The atmosphere of this story is captivating, I feel drawn into it already. The writing isn't too heavy either, and the characters correspond well to the time period

The story is oddly starting to take a turn towards the typical YA book formula, and that's somewhat worrysome

Though the plot finally started to progress I must say the relationship between Dee and Hyde is quite the mess. That kiss felt forced and rushed, jumping ahead in the storyline when it should appear maybe later. The book is scattered and confused on what's going on, I'm rather confused right now

The pacing of this book feels off somehow, and it raised some questions that it still hasn't answered. Hopefully that'll be resolved down the road but so far I'm confused and not completely engaged in the reading

So far I'm really fascinated by what I read, and can't wait to see what other marvels this book will put forth next

The pacing of this one is just right, it's not rushed at all and has a timeless kind of quality to it, something I haven't encountered yet in books and it's such a wonderful characteristic, I can't wait to see where the story goes

I'm suffering through this

Ana's defensive reaction in the last chapter really makes me realize more that this story could be looked at as an allegory for our own world and how people are hostile toward new things that may not be threatening, but especially also to other people who are different. It's given me a new level of appreciation for the book beyond my love for the series I already had

"Parenthood is selfish. There's no reason to bring a child into the world other than that YOU want one for your own self-centered reasons." Um, ok, WHAT? I don't know if I should pretend I haven't read this or if I should rant about it out loud to the wall. I have seen a fair share of naggy, selfish, and just plain bratty teenagers in YA novels but Isadora really is the cake topper

"America has no roots" - um, are we thinking about the same, super patriotic America here? Or are people in Canada and the world having the wrong picture of the country? What the hell was that paragraph even talking about?

Every time she calls Horus Whore-us I just cringe. It's not funny at all, it's prude, and I don't like the main character's way of thinking at all already
