Vicki Seldon is on page 32 of 379 of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Picked this back up and restarted it after reading a recent interview with Le Carre. Could not enjoy this book last summer- enjoying it now.

I am not anti chick-lit nor am I against e-publishing. However, awkwardly written and poorly edited novels make me cross. Disagreements of person and number, clumsy shifts of dialogue compounded by losing track of which character is speaking, seriously?! Goodreaders, prove to me this genre can be a. Well-written grammatically and b. Fresh in terms of the tropes of the genre. Am I asking too much?! Recommendations?

Going to Savannah for the first time, I want to soak in some of the ambience before I arrive. Berendt is a very entertaining writer. Both 'Midnight' and his Venetian book, 'City of Falling Angels' are fine examples of true events retold with the flair of fiction.

Mildly amusing story. However, there is absolutely no excuse for publishing a book- by whatever format - with misspellings, misuse of words, etc. You who self-publish, go for it, but please have someone in your reading group (or whatever) fact-check and proofread your stuff! It's UC Berkeley, not "Berkely", irreverent, not "irrelevant", maison, not "Maision" and, worst of all, Kama Sutra, not "Karma Sutra".
