Wow, I’m really enjoying this. I found it a tiny bit cheesy at the beginning, and didn’t feel the connection, but now I’m loving it. Lovely writing, clever plotting.

Cute, sweet. Feels like the story’s done though? And I’m only halfay through.

Changing my rating system to sounds. Meh, uhn. That’s ny rating for the book I just finished.

What the fuck. This is giving me the ick. Putting it down for a while.

Ugh. I’m pretty much over this book now. My head’s starting to hurt from all the eye rolling.

The age gap here, and the daughter’s best friend angle gave me the ick. I thought it was intriguing at first, but no. Just no. I couldn’t handle the ick, so I abandoned this at 41%.
Just no.

The narrator for this book is truly fantastic.

This is dark as hell. Really well done though.

This had potential, but I give up at 26%.

This particular fictional world is entirely unbelievable. Who has their work firefighter gear and radio with them for a pre-dawn swim?
Who repeatedly touches their brand new work collegue without prior consent?
The writing is clumsy and trying too hard. Instalove histrionics and blatant unprofessionalism … Ugh, this is awful. Not even skipping to the end.

I put this down a few days ago at the 70% point - I just lost interest. Maybe I’ll come back to it, maybe not.

It’s been mostly good till the halfway point, but it’s honestly a slog right now. I’m rapidly losing interst.

Did they get new editors? Their phrasing was sometimes awkward in that English isn’t their first language way, but there’s no evidence of that here. The writing is smoother and a bit more polished.

It keeps getting weirder and weirder

I often read while eating breakfast or lunch; it tends to be when I get a minute to myself to read. This is very much not the book for that. The descriptions of filth and bad smells are visceral - and rather off-putting for one’s appetite :-)

OK I skimmed. I cannot for a whole nother book.

Ok, a whole year later and he still can’t pulicly admit he’s with a guy? I don’t think I can take a whle book of this.

So apparently I read this in December of 2020. I have zero memory of it though. Likeless than zero. Among many things from 2020, ha.

I’m very confused so far.

Ugh. Why are there so many Jamie and Kyle scenes? (The diamond collar was just ugh (grimaces))
I thought this was Liam’s story? We’ve gotten hardly any Liam and Oliver for being 31 percent in.

Is it Ben though? Or Oliver, or another of the men obsessed with him?

Is the killer Ben? Or Steggy?

Gosh, this is so sad. I feel bad for Jamie. Ben is not a bad guy, but kind of a shit all the same.

Mark seems really dumb. Like, too dumb to be believeable. Wierd, random, and kinda cheesy. I give up.

OK actually starting this now - a whole year later

I got halfway through ages ago and lost interest. DNF

I got halfway through this like a year ago, and will prob never fnish it. I just don’t love these two, they confuse me and I lose track of what’s happening.

So I started this back in November 2022, after finishing SF Soldiers, and quickly realized I wasn’t ready yet. I hadn’t recovered enough from reading the first book yet, ha ha.
