I'm a big fan of Backman and I loved his books such as Anxious People and A Man Called Ove. That said,this one is shaping up to be a bit of a drag.

Something about the writing feels off. I'm not exactly sure what that is. But that feeling of ease and comfort that I typically get from reading Backman? That's missing right now.
