Meh. Not particularly innovative

A satisfying series. Not a gripping page turner, but good story, well written and edited, with a nice complete ending. Will read more by this author if on KU

DNF. Present and past tense used interchangeably. Awkward dialogue and cliched trope.

The terrible attempt at dialect is driving me insane.

This was an excellent book I will read again. Unfortunately, after reading the reviews of the other 2 books in the "series" (each is a stand alone), I see that the author has succumbed to the temptation to turn her books into some kind of political platform. Ironically, I wholly agree with her views, but I'm not going to pay for stuff I can hear for free.

Aspects similar to Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instrument series, but wholly without depth. No exploration into characters or their intriguing powers.

This reads like an epic, but the world building is jumbled and flat. I have no connection with the characters and individual personalities are generally unexplored.

Not a bad premise. I'm not eagerly anticipating the next book, but I will check periodically to see if it is out. Will download if free or KU

Boring. Pretty much Matrix prequel. Not finishing.

Until this book, the series was good. Not pay more than $4 for good, but good. I'm not sure why so many writers take amazingly strong heroines and think, "Hey, let's get her pregnant." Between than and the increasingly strong Christian theology and morality themes, I'm going to say goodnight to this series.

Pretty much the same as Grave Mercy, but without the history. The 3rd in the series you have to pay for, so I'll be skipping that one and I'm not really upset by that.

Quite excellent dialogue. Some annoying typos, and the final battle was a bit anticlimactic, but looking forward to the next serial.

This was a fabulous book. I'm heartbroken the second (and last) book got such terrible reviews. It is also so ridiculously expensive, I cannot justify buying it.

Okay adventure, but a little too devout.

Okay book but the draw was this idea of a woman who reads body language. And with the exception of one or two tiny references, you never see her actually do it.

Entertaining once you get past the really crummy editing

Horrible book. The same crap explained, forgotten, then word for word repeated. Oh, and the main character has powers she keeps forgetting to use.
