This is probably my favorite in the series! Other than the slow start, never had a lul in pacing. Small thing that bothers me: Simurgh is literally phoenix in farsi and they never have head of lion.

Again to slow pace and world building at the beginning . Something that bothers me, why is Hadrian threating Cassandra like a teenager even though she is about 40? It is annoying.

The first part was meh to me. I don't know why but the story didn't capture me. Maybe because I didn't enjoy the main character? Felt like a boring "Moana" at parts.
