I needed something fluffy to balance out all the war and sexism and violence I’ve been reading lately, NOT THAT I NEED TO JUSTIFY A REREAD.

Earlier this morning I got to watch a book talk livestream with the author! She answered my question about narratives around the war centralizing American soldiers (cough Miss Saigon cough), and advocated for more stories told by Viet women. Super cool to hear the author speak 🤩

I am HEATED.
