As a married mother of one small boy, this book already has me fighting for my life. Thinking of my partner and my child in the same dire, cold, hopeless place, knowing this is who they would be for one another… I’m constantly quavering, ready to spill over with every small kindness.

I put more forethought into reading this book than committing to a marriage and children. It’s a slow, slow read. The tiny bits of humor are the only thing keeping it afloat for me. I might give the next one a chance if I can ever wade out of this plotless first book!

Top 10 for sure.
