I was enjoying this until it turned into the 1800's and the women turned into their husband's children.

I'm a little bit lost here... I'm halfway through and this is some conspiracy story that doesn't make any sense so far... Mostly because nothing has been exposed, just arguing and a lot of don't-want-to-talk-about-it...and as for it being an erotica novel, well doesn't feel like it, at all.

I'm antisocial, I like privacy, I enjoy solitude, but if I'm half as annoying as 20-something Naomi somebody please shoot me.

I'm so not enjoying this one...

So far it's quite funny, but almost everyone in the story is horrible!

So, this story is filled with two types of characters: assholes and wimps.

Oh boy, Brooke is...Terrible. 22% in and so far the heroine has shown herself to be shallow, judgmental, incompetent, uninformed and boring. She is a mess and sucks as a detective, as a spy and, frankly, as a person.

I get it, she's paranoid...she's also annoying as hell!

I really enjoy these stories, but Casey gets on my last nerve! Kelley Armstrong has a tendency of writing heroines I hate...

While I'm interested and very curious as to where this will eventually lead, I must admit that at this point in the road I'm also utterly bored.

Eleanor Oliphant is, without a doubt, the most fucked up character I've ever read. And I'm only 20% in.

Almost halfway way through and that horrible feeling this will be my last attempt for this series. I mean, 5 books in and ZERO character growth! Plus, I have started skimming, never a good sign.

It's official, Mac is insufferable and the whole drama so far is so childish that I can't find an ounce of sympathy.

Pace and writing not working for me so far. Story is interesting, but the flow is a bit choppy and, I'm holding judgement on the heroine, but so far not a bog fan.

Damn, it's not getting any better. The best private investigator out there just did one of the most stupid ridiculous things I've ever read. Maybe this is a twisted comedy? Because it sure as hell does not seem like a serious thriller.

"How's the book?" Well, a little stupid to be honest. Weak dialogues, weird pace and bad plot progression. I feel like I'm watching a very low budget made-for-tv movie that would air in the middle of the night on Lifetime or A&E.

I'm having a really hard time feeling any kind of sympathy for the hero, so far I think Cujo an ass and not worthy of Drea. Hard to root for a couple when you dislike half of it.

Omg, this book never ends!

You know you hate the heroine when something really awful happens to her and all you can think is: you deserve it, you stupid stubborn ass!

So far Cassandra is very annoying, with a giant sized chip on her shoulder. Enduring only because the universe is interesting.

I'm having a really hard time getting into this... Though I had the same problem with the first book in The Hollows so I'll try to push myself a little further.

I can't... Really... He's a worthless failure, she can't do anything right and will never forgive herself....now back to him being a dark pit. Oh, to hell with both of you!

Depressed self-deprecating POVs are so unpleasant to read! I supposed the idea is to make us feel sympathy, but all I get is annoyed, particularly when it's all misplaced guilt (99% of the cases). In this one I already dislike Easy and his annoyingly weak self-pitying voice.

Caveman behavior? Check!

DNF pile is starting to look very tempting

20% in and:
Physically perfect hero? Check!
Low self-esteem heroine? Check!
Insta-love? Check!
Traumatic violent past? Check!
Unjustified freak out? Check!
And I still have 80% to go... Geez

Abandonment issues, the old "I'll leave before he/she can" trope. I think I may have caused permanent damage by how hard a rolled my eyes now.

Ok, it was all going really well then suddenly stupidity overtook the characters and what's supposed to be a thrilling moment in the story has me going: please die, just die, you're just too damn stupid to live.

Omg, this woman is SO ANNOYING! She never shuts up!

I'm bored and losing interest. Anger and hurt can only do so much to extend a story, this is dragging for way too long already. Over half a book of people lashing out at each other, it's crossed the line from "yeah, that sucks" to "oh come on grow a pair".
