I am going to be bereft when I finish this series. So, so good.

I’ve just started this and already hooked. If you haven’t read any of this series do not waste another minute. Gregg Hurwitz has blessed us with just about the best good guy out there. Evan is like Reacher on steroids. And Joey….well, Joey is why I read the second hook…..now on #11 and hoping there are 100 more. Mr. Hurwitz is the real deal.

I have stopped reading it. Maybe will try another time.

Some authors you just wait and wait for their new books….this is one of those.

I’m on page 90. This account is one of the most poignant penned about the Holocaust. It is unnerving how quickly a human being becomes adjusted to an inhumane existence. Because she is so young, Livia gives a fresh look into the worst period of human depravity. No matter how many accounts I read, I am always horrified anew.God help us all.

Every time I start a SK book I want to tell him how much I appreciate his writing. Holly Gibney put him in the stratosphere, in my humble opinion. He has got to be a phenomenal person to give us Holly.

I love this author. If I could meet anyone famous I would pick him. Reading his book one can tell he is a very special man.

Re-reading this series

I am enjoying being immersed in this book. This is the first I’ve read Ann Cleeves and am very impressed with her knowledge of human nature. One particular comment, that a man made his own likes and dislikes i to a moral code, felt very spot on.

Is it just me or is this ICU nurse rather dumb? There is a lot of dithering, lying, just not quite there behavior. One would expect a nurse to have more on the ball. What it translates to is amateur writing ability. This surprises me.

This is a first rate mystery. Just different enough that it is fresh and entertaining. I’m hoping this is the first in a long series.

I am constantly barking out a laugh with this one. Love the writing.

Hetty is the protagonist but I cannot help but want to wring her stupid neck.

On page 633 . This has totally absorbed me from page one. Excellently written.

I love the observation on page 12 that Raylan Givens was “apparently in the process of shooting everybody”…..

On page 96 and amazed ! It is an incredible book….. not what I expected. Put it on your lists fellow readers.

#19! I have a very special place in my heart for this Mr. Johnson. Years ago he answered an email from me….

I’m on page 69 and have to say that Barbra is exactly what she seems. A darling, real person. There is no shading things to make her look better than she is….in fact she is brutally honest, I think. No wonder so many people love her. It isn’t just the voice, or just the acting ability…..it is that she is utterly human, warts and all.

What a heart this young saint had!

On page 181 and am enthralled by these men and their ingenuity. God was definitely with them.

Page 417. The subject matter in this book is very upsetting. I am hoping the author has done research rather than writing from personal experience. This is one of those “can’t look away” situations. My gut is in turmoil but I’m nowhere near putting this book down!
