This books feels surprisingly refreshing and yet still feels cohesive as part of the Crown of Nyaxia series. Mische is a bit different than the typical FMC in romantasy (usually someone tough, intelligent, guarded and sarcastic but overall charismatic still). She is optimistic, devoted, and shines bright from within despite the darkness surrounding her, which I absolutely adore.
