I think what this book lacks is good set up - so many of the world building elements are introduced right at the moment they become vitally important to the plot which makes everything feel a little too convenient and made up

also annoyed at the world building - some of the guardian classes have specific jobs: scholar, artist, soldier and then the Tiger and the Bear are just… kind of badass I guess?
