There are so many major components in the book that it’s losing its cohesiveness. Alchemy, elements of magic, war, library tyrants…
Also, is this really supposed to be taking place in 2025? So much of it seems ancient. The steam vehicles (is this the new version of electric cars?), trains that take forever, Alexandria library still standing?? That last one can be a bit confusing if you’re a kid reading this…

82 pgs in & can barely stand to trudge forward through more pgs! T/y for the info about it taking 40% of the book for it to get intrestng. Othrwse, don’t think I’d’ve kept going. I’d like to find out what happens to the charctrs, so will look forwrd to the second 1/2!

I'm almost half way thru this book and I'm just about bored to tears!! Anyone read it? Should I keep going?
