Long time no Ruta :))

I read till 1 am last night. I am usually dead asleep by 11 pm. Make of that what you will.

I know this book is good cos I generaly do not like or enjoy multiple POV narration, but here?! It's so well written, each character's POV is distinct, and not only in style but also in the way they think, the things they notice... just the way they are. So very few YA authors write characters as well as Bardugo does. She could write a book about this crew going grocery shopping and I would still enjoy reading it.

is this a “what if all our men drowned and i started questioning the status of women in 17th century christian society and you dared to wear men’s clothes and spoke fluent sarcasm, and we were both women 😳” moment or am i wrong?

reading this for the second time, just after I've finished The Mask Falling, and I must say it's a whole new experience. Though it is clear to me that the author has evolved a lot and developed her style since writing the first instalment, I'm still thoroughly enjoying this. I also have a whole new appreciation for all the details, worldbuilding and character interactions, now that I know their futures (partly)

Tohle ticho před bouří je tak trochu příliš tiché, až se začínám bát, co jim autorka před koncem knihy provede...

"You want some fangs with that venom, Paige?" is a top-tier line

Opustila jsem všechny svoje rozečtené knihy, jen abych se mohla pustit do čtvrtého Kostičasu? Ano. Stálo to za to? Zatím rozhodně.
Na to, jak jsem s trojkou trošičku bojovala, tak tohle mě vtáhlo hned. A nevím, jestli je to jen mnou nebo tou pauzou nebo čím, ale je to navzdory tématu a obsahu takové... vtipnější a i odlehčenější. Zatím!

já mám tak ráda ty pasáže v knihách, kde se najednou začnou scházet dřív skoro nesouvisející příběhy a postavy, 10/10 moment
