Bro im struggling to DNF. The first one was sooo good. What happened?

Is anything going to actually happen in this book?

I really wanted to like this but its so cringey. Myrtle thinks and acts like a child and has to keep reminding herself she is an adult (idk if they mention her age. She just finished finishing school and is about to start her first season out, so 16-18?) while the Duke is late 20s early 30s and also seems to see her as a child yet pursues her romantically. Mix that with a silly boring plot and im out.

I've decided to Dnf this book. While I thought it had an interesting beginning it wasn't what I thought it would be. This was one of my most anticipated books this year but I think I had an ideal story in mind and when it didnt meet that standard I was disappointed. I also had a hard time connecting with the characters and was put off by Peter's rapid physical growth whileit didn't match up with his mental growth.

I started this book in March, read 5 chapters and hated it. As soon as Rhys started bro fisting and talking to Cassian about how he needs to leave so he can f#@ck Feyre I was done. I contemplated reading more but after watching some reviews it sounds like it gets worse. The writing is bad and the characters suck. I still like acomaf though.

Idk if im actually at 20% cause i was listening on audio but once again this is a dnf. I just dont care about these characters. This is the second time ive tried to read/listen to this and i can never get very far.

Im going to put this on hold because I plan on reading it for an april book challenge but I am fully invested.

This is gonna be a dnf for me. I literally can not stand the mc crappy attitude.

Dnf @pg 113. This book is so boring. I read the Wikipedia to see if ut gets better and it sounds like it gets worse.

Im pretty positive this is going to be a dnf. Not only did I realize it was way too long for the type of story it is but it's also slowly turning ridiculous. Ugh.

This Kincaid guy has Jericho Barron's vibes and I'm here for it.

Im dnfing this. Im on chapter 14 and its just dragging. Its like the main story is about being PC and the characters and romance are on the back burner

Dnf@ pg 296. While I enjoyed the characters and the West family, this book is way too long. Im still waiting for something to even happen. The same scenarios just kept repeating instead of any story progression. I did skip ahead and it doesnt seem to get better.

Why is this book so long.

I've decided to dnf this one. I'm always looking for a good alien romance but this was not it. It was extremely juvenile and had super insta love. There was also a handwritten note from a character that was illegible but had important information. That really irritated me.

"Say something in Mandarin," said Tessa with a smile. Jem said something rapidly, that sounded like alot of breathy vowels and consonants run together, his voice rising and falling melodically. "Ni hen piao liang."
"What did you say?"

Dnf @pg 108. This was a library book that is about to expire and I really have no incentive to renew it. The story was ok but the constant bashing of adult readers who read YA was too much. I have no reason to finish a mediocre book that makes me feel bad, even if it's unintentional.

Idk if I can finish this. I kind of get what the author is trying to convey in regards to adults and ya literature but its executed so incredibly poorly.

I may go back to this but for now im done. This just wasn't what I was expecting. The "meet cute" was so painfully cringey. I honestly thought it was a joke. Like eventually I would get a real meet cute. Nope. It time skips and it's so awkward and confusing. If you hate someone so much why do you have a mug with them on it?? 100% not what I thought this was gonna be.

Sadly im dnf @53% I usually push through especially if I'm this far but this forgettable book is eye roll worthy. It's like a PSA for domestic violence and women's rights but the male mc is there solely to woo his mate. Idk pre cognitive knowledge and stalking of a woman is a bit creepy and doesn't go well with the message I think this author wantes to convey.

Dnf@ 29% I didnt realize this book was 547 pgs. Im 170 pgs in and nothing of significance has happened. Im so bored. I can't stand Hailey's character. The romance is ok but also weird. I don't care about the characters, the plot is so slow and uninteresting and I read this may turn into a harem book series. No thanks.
