Koen (Northwest alpha Were) agrees to let Serena (the Were-human hybrid, and his mate who he’s not with) stay in the Northwest territory instead of returning to the Southwest. Serena confesses to Koen she hasn’t been able to shift for months. She previously saw a Doctor who told her she had CSD, elevated cortisol disorder, that will kill her in 3-6 months.

Just starting, but comical so far from Serena and Koen’s mate dynamic. Almost seems like an arranged marriage so far.
