Still great. This is a fast and fun read. I'm just dragging my feet on getting it read. Better than the first novel thus far.

Sanderson has a knack for writing unique characters that I genuinely care about, each with interesting internal conflicts that drive the narrative. I like how this story is coming together.

Sanderson writes beautifully. Takes a while to get all the characters straight, but seems to be settling in on the core set. Enjoying the book quite a bit thus far.

Interesting commentary regarding race and party relations undermining the critical mission facing the whole seems be coalescing.

This book requires a significant suspension of disbelief up front. Also tough to keep track of the characters and their arbitrary names. A cool universe though. The book already sets the stage for some great revelations to hopefully occur later on.

80% of the way through, and I still don't understand the author's (or the characters') preoccupation with English poet John Keats. Book has, at least, started to explain itself with respect to other matters.

I am not terribly excited with the new primary character in this story. I find myself a bit bored by his parts, and anxious for the book to return to chapters about the group of characters from the previous book. Hoping this new guy starts to get more interesting.

It's like a Sci-Fi version the The Canterbury Tales... Pretty good so far. Not quite sure where it's going yet. Still seems to be setting up for something...

Interesting character side-plot / backstory in the first 20%. Book is not quite what I expected, but has me so far.

Initially tough to get into the different writing style of this new author, but I'm starting to get into it.
