ooh - pleasantly surprised! I do love her writing so much tho i don't know why i'd be surprised

this is much better than the second one eek - i do think sometimes the characters are a bit bland... and I'm still slightly confused as to who El and Shammeloth even are... i think the world is great though. I can also see some tiny world building details Islington took and ran with in The Will of the Many which is neat!

primarily reading for the ART that is McFarland's use of words. Very interesting to read this from a Christian worldview - I find it incredible that people like him, who seem to worship the earth, don't see the majesty of God in the things He's made, that they love so dearly. He even uses words like miracles and hope but attributes the river for these things. Stunning writing though wow

this is so good! explaining the trinity in such an accessible way so far

I know this book is written for mothers on motherhood but it's really driving home the lesson of dying to self... which i feel like is relevant for everyone despite the season we're in!
