I love the voice (and the fact that she named pigeons "Satan's shitters). That's what's keeping me reading, though there are several places where the same word is used twice in one sentence. And his eyes "twinkle" a lot.

Head hopping was jarring.
So many adjectives. Aqua/iridescent eyes, stormy/slate eyes, chestnut hair. Yeesh.
Things are happening TO the FMC right now. It's easy. "Romance" was rushed. Would have liked to see the week of suitors more. But, the world and magic are interesting.

Dammit, Anastasis. I had to get up early today and it's unputdownable.

I'm not sure I want to continue. Not because of the writing or anything, but because the love triangle I wasn't expecting put me off. The older I get, the less fun those seem to be. I also think she jumped a little too fast into Raif's arms after her experience with the prince. Was it because Raif was hot? Coz he looked at her in a similar way as the prince. Wouldn't that have been a turn *off*?

At the moment, Brianna is really annoying me. She's making snap decisions, letting emotions rule her (um, Brianna, love, those negative emotions are a surefire way to be tempted to use the old magic and I see that coming miles and miles away), and not wanting to listen to anyone. She just *knows* she's right. Sigh.
...I'm not sure I want to continue.
And Jian: you don't have to give in to everything she pushes for.

The FMC is so childish, I'm not sure I can continue. I haven't hated a FMC this much since KMM's Fever series. Like those, I will continue reading for the MMC's sake. He's no Barrons, but he's sweet. I appreciate that he's not like every other romantasy male I've read lately. They're starting to run together in my head.
