Ria is finished with Charis: God's Scandalous Grace for Us
This will shock any Christian elitist out there because of its direct, very straightforward use if words, but you will get the point and will have a better understanding of grace. It's beautiful. It's an easy read too, something you can read on the plane, while traveling.

Ria is reading Searching for God Knows What
I appreciate this book more than his other book Blue Like Jazz eventhough I've heard so many people liked BLJ. He has a different sense of humor- his story about attending a writers' conference was hilarious!

"We make men without chests and expect them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst." The arguments presented in this book are contemporary issues, even though this book was written 70+years ago.

The enemy was blinded by what's about to happen on the Cross because they don't have the eyes of faith...

I've been wanting to read more about the power of the cross and I am hopeful that this book will somehow meet my expectation.

And yet, we continue to love. We normally regard it as cowardly, as tragic, and as terribly unhealthy not to do so. If a person never loved, he’d never suffer. But then again, he’d never really live.
