I HAD to see what the fuss was about, okay? 😬

Returned early. It was okay, but a bit too boring to continue at the present moment. Maybe a book I revisit in the future.

Accidentally starting reading a 1k+ page book again...

It wasn’t until 70% of the way in when things started ramping up, and now at 86% shit is about to truly go down. That said, I’ve been enjoying this long ass book.

Anna Karenina is a trash mom.

Almost half way in and I’m struggling to get through!

The ebook loan expired and I’m on hold for ~3 weeks, yikes! I cannot wait to finish, totally engrossed.

Over two hours into the audiobook and we finally meet the title character...shew!

Another book I feel obligated to read, or at least try. Opted for the audiobook, which is over 33 hours long. 😨

Well, I didn't think that death would bum me out so much. Guess it just goes to show the respect, or lack of, that the brothers in black truly have in Westeros. How will the Night Watch react? Poor Arya.

-Excited to see how Tyrion will shake up King's Landing, or perhaps how King's Landing will shake Tyrion. -Will that poor Daenarys ever get a break? After a Jesus-esque pilgrimage with her battered people, will she finally find help? -What will Jon and Sam find beyond The Wall? -Catelyn's boring.

Theon Greyjoy, however, feels like loyalty is a cloak that can easily come off based on what benefits him most. His first chapter cast light on that fact that he has felt like a captive more so than a ward of the Starks, and that makes me uneasy. Will his resentment manifest into a betrayal? (Cont...)

Davos' sincere loyalty to Stannis Baratheon is his defining quality after his opening chapter. Commendable enough, but will the influence of the Red Woman change Stannis into someone he cannot support? That is the feeling I am getting. (Cont...)

A fifth of the way in and this book feels grim & heavy already. GRRM has introduced two new character POVs thus far; Davos the Onion King and Theon Greyjoy, who currently seem vastly different. (Cont...)

Sh*t is going down here at Westeros! Can't put the book down.

Half way through the book and I'm getting hooked.

This is the first time I have watched a film version of a book before reading it. A bit slow at first, but considering the need to build multiple character's POVs, not as slow as I suspected. Can't help but wonder if I'd be more surprised at certain events that have already happened if I didn't watch the show, or if GRRM's writing fails to stir suspense. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

Slowly moving through this book. Looks like Jane Fairfax is coming to town, is Emma ready to throw some serious shade?
