i dunno if it's just my hormones acting up buy wow this triggered some waterworks on me

Started reading this because I was in the mood for something light and fun. What do you knoe..so far, it has actually delivered. I'm truly laughing at some of the events that happened but if it were to happen to me irl.. I would just want the ground to swallow me whole. I hope this continues to be a fun and enjoyable read.

Planning to watch the upcoming series so I figured, it's time to jumo into the books to see what they're all about. And uhmm.. why is there so much ick in this. Sexist crap, misogyny, internalized misogyny, objectification.. it's so ???

THEY LITERALLY DRUGGED THEIR OWN FUCKING DAUGHTER BC SHE'S GAY. WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS.. I CANT BREATHE

I'm starting to be pretty annoyed with the white characters here, Like, they're so dense and dismissive about cultural differences. OMG

I'm not Bengali but growing up in an Asian household, some of the things here about sexism & gender bias really hits so close to home.

I stayed away from this book for so long because so many people have rec'd this to me & there was so SO much hype about it on booktube/tumblr/twitter. I was SCARED that it would be too good to be true. BUT UGH. FUCK. I LOVE IT SO MUCH??? IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I LAUGHED OUT LOUD WHILE READING A BOOK. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE HYPE IS REAL

Every time I read a Victoria Schwab book, there's always this feeling of dark mystery that feels weirdly soothing. I don't know how, but her writing just compels me in and I fall in love with how she build her worlds.

Just 40+ pages in and this book is getting heart-breaking.

I am not 100% certain yet, but I think I now understand why people are saying that this book might just be the one to top or at least come equal to the brilliance of The Infernal Devices. It's so good. OMG.

Just a few pages past 100 and I already shed a tear. Oh help me.

Almost a hundred pages past and I still don't feel any connection with the character. I'm gonna put it down for a bit and pick another book up. Maybe after, I'll go back and try again. But for now.. a bookmark is needed for this one.

More than 70 pages and it feels like I'm just staring at words that barely make any sense. Domna. Guildmaster. Cleaved. Five Origin Wells. Twelve Paladins. Can't you at least explain them or something?? This is so confusing to read. :(

Holy crap, I can't believe I haven't actually marked this as 'read' last year. It would have been one more book for my 2015 Goodreads Challenge.
Anyway.. gaaah! I know this book has so much going on and that every chapter contains heart-stopping moments but I can stop focusing on Brother Zachariah. I am a complete Jem trash, so you know, any mention of him just.. aaahh <3

Okay. Fuck other books. I am diving into this book once more. BECAUSE THIS EDITION IS FREAKING MAGICAL!!!

I am not yet finished reading this book but I think this is the best book Sarah Dessen has written, so far. It is so different and way heavier than her previous YA novels. <3

I am about halfway through and I have work at 9am tomorrow. But hell, I cannot stop reading.

This book, tho. It's making me sad. :(
