It's only 2026 and so much of what Mr. Brooks wrote in 2011. Old people living too long and sucking up resources is just a start. Ozempic, hiring a Treasury Secretary with no experience because she is rich, healthcare premiums skyrocketing, extreme national debt, and an outbreak of measles (Think Covid).

I'm listening to this in the car with my Aunt Joan. Back when I was 10 & my sister was 13, Joan took us to see the movie because she read the book. Joan has dementia & I asked her, when we started, if she remembered that. None of it at first. I asked her yesterday, & she said "a little" & she'll move her finger in a circle to say she wants me to turn it on after I start the engine.

Yep, I'm having a new adult audio summer.

I'm going to try this one as an audio. It's a good plot.

Urg, my OCD is kicking in because there is no audiobook edition of this book. I wonder if my library privileges are still active.

So far, one of the best books I've ever listened to. Super long, but I can't wait to get to my car so I can listen everyday.
