Everything, in terms of narrative and tone, I wanted. My goal is to finish this book in less than 20 days.

Another surprise. After reading some other Winslow novel I knew to kept an open mind but he has a way of surprising me.

Don has done it again: surprised me. I did not expect that to happen

This book felt like it was kicked into high gear

Don Winslow might be my favorite author.

Engaging so far. I might take notes on this book as I go.

While engaging this is not the book I suspected it to be.

I’m not sure where the chapter about legalized pot in Colorado fits in with the rest of this book…

A final mad dash to finish one last book before the end of the year.

I've been reading this for a few days.

While I do enjoy this book and the writing style I just haven’t found the time to really sink my teeth into it.

That should change shortly.

I haven’t thought of Rick Ankiel in years…

lol my daily 10% like clockwork.

Why did it take me this long to read this book?

Parts of this book feel like church.

I just can’t put this down.
