I love the Kate Burkholder series! This one went a new and unexpected direction, which was a fun change of pace. Especially since it was a short story

I’ve read all of the David Sedaris books at least once. This is the one I recommend to people, and they usually want to follow up with more of his books. Such a talented writer. Always makes me giggle or laugh out loud with my head tossed back. His books are basically his journals. He talks about his life as a child in this one, and later on his books as an adult.

I suppose this was a good book, but I chose to leave it unfinished. I think I’m done with the Will Trent books.

The most I can give this book is three stars. I ended up skimming the last portion of the book. Every single aspect of it was predictable. From the very beginning to the very end, predictable.

I wanted to like this book so much more than I actually did.

I listened to this book, and was looking into returning it to Audible. Not necessarily because I wasn’t enjoying the book, but because I didn’t care for the two narrator’s voices at all. Annoying! Both of them! Turns out it was a freebie from Audible, so I decided to continue on in short spurts. I ended up very much liking the story, even if it was a bit predictable. Glad I didn’t pay for this one!

I’ll finish this book, but I won’t bother with this author again.
