This was truly the most obnoxious, poorly written piece of garbage I have ever tried to listen to. Despite an excellent narrator I could only get through 1/2 of this junior high level diatribe full of PC buzz words and a ridiculous plot . Being a fan of the author I assumed wrongly that she would be able to write a fun fantasy book - she failed miserably IMHO

I could not get past the first few chapters, this is my greatest fear as a grandparent that something awful could happen to my little ones. I felt like the authors writing was different than his previous books which I loved - seemed like he was rushing the narration rather than his usual deeper writing. I also don’t appreciate his political biases. All in an awful disappointment….:
