Re-reading this book in preparation for the Sequel that comes out next week.

This book is a bit ridiculous. Entertaining but not as good as the first so far. I guess I can't get by very dumb strategies when I can see obvious ones that would work way better :).

You know what would come in real handy right now? A horn that vomits bees.

I have already found myself laughing out loud about 5 times so far at Clay's thoughts or comments.

I like this series, but I swear the battle tactics in this book are beyond idiotic, almost made me stop reading. Let's see we have 12 flying castles with lots of firepower and ranged weapon. We are all attacking 1 castle on the ground. That can barely attack us. Rather than just blast it all to hell... let's drop troops. oh and let's drop them outside of the castle as well, so they can get slaughtered. Genius

Good story so far, lots of action, but I don't understand the main bad guy so far at all though.

I have been reading this book for a few weeks and only 50%. That usually means I'm not all that excited about it. The story has gotten too predictable with little to no advancement of the magic system or the main character the past two books. Yes the book is entertaining, but I'm pretty sure if you searched the word "suddenly" and crumph (sound effect).. You'd find about 1,000 matches in this series so far of each.

Getting much better. Lots more going on, and while a few parts were predictable, the story is improving.
