I like that the author doesn’t think we’re dumb. She doesn’t try to explain her references. She trusts us to know things.

I will definitely read more by Olga Tokarczuk.

Is it ironic that I am finding this book incredibly stressful to read?

Did he just bring THE BIBLE into scientific research? What is going on here?

One person cannot sing a round. One person cannot sing Mozart’s “Requiem”. This is not how the human voice works. Singing opera takes an incredible amount of work and training.

I will finish this book, but only because writers I respect recommended it.

I had to stop reading this. One cannot sing in a round by herself. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this book, so I might revisit it later, but it just doesn’t make sense musically.

This narrator is stressing me out.
