I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this novel based on the real life of Maud Baum! The settings and story telling were vivid but not overwrought, the characters compelling, and the subject matter relevant to readers today. I'll definitely be looking for Letts's other works!

Halfway through my library copy and bought it to own this morning. So. Good. It is breathing new life into my homeschooling practices and philosophies.

Wise and well written, with a solid undertone of kindness and true encouragemebt to become a Woman of the Word.
