It reminds me of some of William Gibson’s work (maybe mostly Spook Country, the intrigue and the tech/security elements).
I enjoy the slightly unsettling narration bits: where the narrator addresses the reader, leaving them to fill in details about characters and settings, or when she comments on how she used to be in that moment of the story.
I find the punctuation and sentence fragments a little frustrating.

Excellent history of Native American comedy. Really appreciate how the author is aware of the fact that he is not Native, so he relies extensively on quotes from Native comedians.
