Goodness, you don't read Tartt just for how she tells a story. You read her for her diction too. If words were food to Homo Sapiens, I would have lived on Dona Tartt’s sentences.

Quite an entertaining read. I would have finished it by now, but Clive Mantle's narration is so good that I can't switch back to reading.

Shoot, I like Goodreads, but sometimes updates are so hard to manage here. In the App, forget about it. Anyway, I’ve just started the book, so the five star rating was accidental. Glad I managed to clear it.

I enjoy reading Nesbø, but Seán Barrett doesn't make switching between reading and listening very easy for the North American audience, I think. It isn't a matter of accent. I have listened to several wonderful English narrations last year, Circe being the last. Really good book, though.

I don’t like to read four books simultaneously even though different genre, but this is quite interesting. Switching between audio and kindle.

Moments

Non ho nostalgia della nostra infanzia, è piena di violenza. Ci succedeva di tutto, in casa e fuori, ogni giorno, ma non ricordo di aver mai pensato che la vita che c’era capitata fosse particolarmente brutta. ...and honestly, for as much as I like Goodreads, I cannot tell you how much the website and app restrictions suck. You can’t post love of literature here. It’s become a
Facebook of sorts.

You can have all the desire and ache inside you want, but what you really need is a concrete starting point.

I’ve been looking forward to this. The book is finally available in US. I’m not sure whether I will read it in parallel with The Brothers Karamazov, but one thing is for sure for next six weeks: I’m all set for when it comes to work, good literature and travel.
