Goodness, you don't read Tartt just for how she tells a story. You read her for her diction too. If words were food to Homo Sapiens, I would have lived on Dona Tartt’s sentences.

Quite an entertaining read. I would have finished it by now, but Clive Mantle's narration is so good that I can't switch back to reading.

Shoot, I like Goodreads, but sometimes updates are so hard to manage here. In the App, forget about it. Anyway, I’ve just started the book, so the five star rating was accidental. Glad I managed to clear it.

I enjoy reading Nesbø, but Seán Barrett doesn't make switching between reading and listening very easy for the North American audience, I think. It isn't a matter of accent. I have listened to several wonderful English narrations last year, Circe being the last. Really good book, though.

I don’t like to read four books simultaneously even though different genre, but this is quite interesting. Switching between audio and kindle.

Moments
There are moments that cry out to be fulfilled.
Like, telling someone you love them.
Or giving your money away, all of it.
Your heart is beating, isn’t it?
You’re not in chains, are you?
There is nothing more pathetic than caution
when headlong might save a life,
even, possibly, your own.

My Brilliant Friend (My Brilliant Friend, #1)

“People don’t part with things they value so easily.”
“Unless it’s to protect something they value more than themselves.”
“For example?” Menshiki said.
Neither of us could answer that one.

The Brothers Karamazov
“Brother, what are you driving at?” asked Alyosha.
“I think if the devil doesn’t exist, but man has created him, he has created him in his own image and likeness.”
“Just as he did God, then?” observed Alyosha.
“ ‘It’s wonderful how you can turn words,’ as Polonius says in Hamlet,” laughed Ivan.

“Our lives really do seem strange and mysterious when you look back on them. Filled with unbelievably bizarre coincidences and unpredictable, zigzagging developments. While they are unfolding....”
...and honestly, for as much as I like Goodreads, I cannot tell you how much the website and app restrictions suck. You can’t post love of literature here. It’s become a
Facebook of sorts.

I’ve been looking forward to this. The book is finally available in US. I’m not sure whether I will read it in parallel with The Brothers Karamazov, but one thing is for sure for next six weeks: I’m all set for when it comes to work, good literature and travel.
