I’m 52% in - and NOTHING has happened.

Cover of my edition not on Goodreads. This bothers me greatly. It's the Simon & Shuster Australia 2013 publication.

“Her mother was the knot that stopped the fraying.”

P 81 the word Petrichor is used. But this word was not invented until 1964.

Thought I could predict the ending but no. I think I could have done it better but.

This is my text book for a return to studies. I am reading chapters in random order as per the reading list issued by my lecturer. So far it's ok...but today in the middle of Chapter 5 I fell asleep. Admittedly it was a rainy day and I was snuggled up on the lounge in front of the heater, AND it was a chapter about electronic resources, but still.
Hopefully other chapters will be more engaging.
