It's a little slow. Good, but slow.

This book makes me eant to stab my eyes out.

I've had this book since it came out. Sitting on my shelf. Then I told myself I'd wait for the series to be finished before I read it. So here I am. Devouring it. I can't tell yet if I'm glad I waited or not. Totally NMS normally, but I understand they hype!

I have a love/hate relationship with Colleen Hoover.
These are addicting, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THEM. And it's a lot. Tropes. Drama for sake of drama, MANIPULATION, girls are doormats, inauthentic characters, etc.

But, they are such short quick addicting listens/reads. I like Colleen Books in the car for that reason.

Cute so far.

Nothing extremely "OMG THIS AWESOME", even though I know it has that hype currently. Besides that, no regrets!

This book is nothing spectacular. I put it down in my car about a month or so ago, and while I wanted to finish it, I didn't have the desire to go find it from the mess I had in there.

I'm around the halfway point now, and while I hope to finish it today, I'm wondering where the conflict is going to come in. I feel like we are still in the 'setting up the world' point, and not half way through..... We shall see.

Stole this from a student while she was testing. 4 chapters in, and I realize.... I don't remember who anyone is or what happened in the first book. Not surprised. Cass's character building needs work. (Why did I pick this up after a Rainbow Rowell book? I totally set myself up for failure here.)

I'm ashamed I haven't read this book yet. It's been one I've recommended to students time and time again.... It's time.
