Never a dull moment. Themes of loss, perseverance, predestination, and free will work well in the overall narrative so far. Lots of mystery keeps you going as the author is building the world in bits and pieces. Characters are complex, flawed and believable.

Chapter 5… Boy that escalated quickly.

Fast easy reading with an entertaining story that is holding up very well despite tired tropes.

It is very hard to stop reading. It’s just so awful but incredibly intriguing.

The book is very disjointed. It was clearly written by multiple writers and one of the writers is better than the other.

It’s just okay so far. It isn’t terribly boring but it also isn’t doing anything to make it stand out from the crowd.
